Happy birthday to me!

Psalm 46:5 (NIV) God is within her, she will not fall;God will help her at break of day.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes and the kind words.

Yesterday my phone was blowing up with messages and all sorts of notifications, all that I appreciate. There was so much love from you guys jana!

Can I have that everyday?

I seriously hope you won’t stop on the loving.  It is amazing that some of you have just gotten to know me through the #BYOBTVSHOW, but you’re so kind and sweet! I sometimes think that my purpose to be in the show was for me to meet and inspire more amazing people. And well of course, to win the 5 Million prize!

I am lucky to have two birthdays. Yesterday was my biological one; the actual date when I was born into this beautiful world. Then I turned 18 years and the people at the registry offices decided to write 22nd of February on my National ID. That became my second birthday. I am still waiting for that “Happy birthday to you” text from Safaricom today.

About the birthday party. I am not allowed to leave the academy, but you can bet my friends wouldn’t let it slide. They planned a mini-surprise party visit! They brought cake of course, and lots of love, games and laughter.

Thanks for the cake!

I feel so rich in friendship! They probably did all that because they know I would do the same for them. Or maybe, they love me too much. I am so much of a people’s person, I wonder what I would do in a world without people.

I believe we should celebrate the people we love each day of their lives. Not just on their birthdays. Well maybe my thoughts could be under the influence of the fact that my birthday comes exactly a week after valentines day, but I still think so. It has been a month full of love for me. I hope it doesn’t stop being poured everyday. Embrace the people around you guys!

So much has happened while I’m in here for the BYOB Show! From 100 bob weddings being transformed into a million dollar wedding. To an Uber driver hailing a psychopath around the city of Nairobi and the night turning into a night of self realization. To four people being evicted from the BYOB competition! I must admit all these have taught me something new about life.

Live without holding back; do not wait for tomorrow if it can be done today.

This must be the mantra for my 23rd year of this life.

Pursue that dream today!

Tell them how much they mean to you today!

Start saving today!

Go to the gym today!

Make that decision today!

The list is endless…

We hold back so much as though we were sure we’ll be here tomorrow. I am not saying do not hope, just hope (and hop) on that which is not in your reach today.

The thought that someone (read Jesus) had to die for you to live should awaken you to life! After looking at life from this angle, I wake up and I cannot afford to under-live! If you gave up your life for someone to live, I bet you would expect so much from them. Them changing the state of the world in a day would even look possible to you. So don’t hold back! Another way to look at it would be the Uber driver way; A soldier is dying in Somalia for you to have peace. Live in that peace like it cost you a life! This is just but a little of what I have been learning over time.

I forgot to mention that the Standard News paper wished me a happy birthday! Here is the link to the article. I hope you get motivated from your read.

It is Glory to God every morning I wake up and am still in the race for the 5 Mil! I know I work for it, but it could have been me gone! If you have been watching the show you know how the tables turn so fast! On KTN every Monday 8PM-9PM.

Keep the cheer-leading on, this could just be our win!

God Bless!
